I work as a business coach.
I primarily help healthy living entrepreneurs who are committed to building businesses where they get to generate substantial wealth, making a huge difference doing what they love, while also experiencing the freedom to live the wildly ideal life they desire.
Included as healthy living entrepreneurs are personal fitness trainers, fitness leaders, registered dietitians, nutrition consultants, yoga instructors, ergonomists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, reiki practitioners, hypnotherapists, holistic healers, environmental specialists, eco-sustainability consultants, and other related specialists.
They all share the common vision of supporting their clients to achieve and live healthy, happy, sustainable, and fulfilled lives.
My clients are master technicians and practitioners at what they do and they are compassionate and caring while being in service to their clients but they struggle with getting new clients and making enough money to sustain a profitable business while also having a life. They really don’t want to have to sell their services and would love clients to just appear on their doorstep.
The people who come to see me…
- have often become stuck with a limited income and are unable to sustain a living.
- may be fed up with working for someone else and want to build a business of their own but are afraid of falling into the same traps that everyone else does and failing.
- may have succeeded financially but do not have a life as a result. (see also The Healthy Entrepreneur)
They have invested a lot of time and money in developing their technical skills and knowledge and perhaps on the overhead in starting up their business. They may have created their business plan and begun to market their business by seeing and doing what others in their industry have done such as commonly offered services and packages, pricing structures and hourly fees. They use typical forms of advertising, have a static website, business cards, and other promotional material. But it just isn’t working. When it comes to going out and getting clients they find themselves procrastinating. For some reason the things they think they need to do to sell their services just don’t feel right. Because of this they don’t seem to produce much in the way of results either. All of their energy is focused on working IN their business and delivering amazing services, but they’re finding it much, much harder than they think it should be, to make money doing what they love.
This approach has not worked well because traditional forms of marketing and old style business plans do not work well in businesses where connection, authentic relationships, and trust are key. They also do not work well in evolving a business toward having a life while being profitable. Trying to get the word out to everyone, hoping someone will receive it ends up reaching no one. It’s old style marketing.
Healthy living entrepreneurs resist “marketing” in this manner because it feels too much like selling or too much like work. They don’t know of any other way so remain stuck feeling powerless to change and grow their business. This of course, leaves them in one of three spots.
- Never taking the initial step to start their business
- Hoping that word of mouth or their old style advertising will land clients on their doorstep.
- Working days, nights, and weekends consuming massive amounts of energy while feeling bad about it all.
They lack business mastery AND they cannot overcome their limiting fears that hold them from the action steps that will deliver the results they want. It is a paralyzing and frustrating place to stay.

The process can be absolutely magical. At the same time it doesn’t work for everyone.
